In November 2024, 3 Recurring hosted a two-day workshop organised by printmaker Ernest Fackler, known for his Germanic woodcuts and involvement in the POMPOM community. Fackler, who founded the Peninsular Printmaker Fair in 2023, invited Ross Mazzupappa and his partner, Christina Humble, to lead the session. Participants learned to create “Ross Rollers,” high-quality, affordable rollers and brayers suitable for various printmaking techniques. This initiative addresses the challenge many artists face in accessing essential printmaking tools post-graduation, offering a sustainable solution for printmaking studios, co-ops, and underfunded programs. The workshop provided hands-on experience in crafting these durable tools, which are effective across various printmaking techniques, including relief, lithography, and monoprint.
